Erika Giblin, Pharm D Candidate 2015University of Florida, College of Pharmacy Gainesville, Florida Leslie Hendeles, Pharm DProfessor, Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research Professor of Pediatrics (Pulmonary)University of Florida Gainesville, Florida US Pharm. ABSTRACT: Asthma affects approximately one in 10 children in the United States. More than half of these pediatric patients experience an asthma exacerbation each year. Often, the exacerbation requires a short course of oral corticosteroids. Prednisolone, a liquid formulation of prednisone, is commonly prescribed to these children due to its ease of administration. A short course of prednisolone drastically reduces the need for hospitalization and shortens the length of the exacerbation. Poor adherence due to the bitterness or laxative qualities of prednisolone often limits its effectiveness, however, and careful selection must be made between the available forms (prednisolone base versus prednisolone sodium phosphate). Asthma is the most common cause of hospitalizations and emergency department (ED) visits for pediatric patients in the Unites States.

The following information is NOT intended to endorse drugs or recommend therapy. at 62, works for me and no side effects.""My Doctor gave me samples dues to a recent ED issue, we tried it last night and all I can is wow. I was out one night and had eaten before taken Viagra and it took over 2 hours before it kicked in. While these reviews might be helpful, they are not a substitute for the expertise, skill, knowledge and judgement of healthcare practitioners in patient care. By then my girl was fast asleep (I did wake her up). gave me a sample of Staxyn and I tried it not long after this episode. I was fully erect and was good even in the morning. Wife has been expecting activity 3-4 days (times) a week now... There are minimal side effects like headache and stuffy nose in the morning. I just hope my insurance will cover it.""I wanted to try something different that worked quicker and also on a full stomach. I have found or at least it seems to increase every capillary down there and nerve ending to the max, .. I get a little less pleasure with Viagra for some reason.. This stuff is considerably cheaper than Cialis (my co pay) so it is the way to go for me. Same side effects, could get headache or stuffy nose. Slowly have found a tolerance builds up and now it only works about half as well as it did before. I love this medication, works quick and don't have to worry if I have eaten, unlike Viagra.""Have been taking staxyn for about two years. My side effects are a very stuffy nose and head ache. I usually use a nose spray after taking it and also take a Tylenol.
